The successful reviews and press of the Ketogenic or Keto Diet are well deserved. Medically, it is a challenge to our long held beliefs that consuming fat can help us lose weight. We discuss the benefits and myths of the Keto Diet and how to be successful in the shortest amount of time.
Keto Diet Medical Facts and Myths
Meeting people face to face who have experience life changing success on the Keto diet is a powerful testimonial. Watching them long term continue to sustain their healthy lifestyle is even more important to dispelling myths of short term success or unhealthy benefits. One of the most compelling explanations and changes in perspective came from the simple statement, just listen to the experts challenging our typical medical lobbying.
We listened to weight loss and obesity expert Dr. Sarah Hallberg as she challenged and debunked myths on why traditional diets and medical practice missed the mark on healthy weight loss.

Results of Ketogenic Diet Plan
After getting over the initial “Keto Flu” in the first 2-3 days, we were regularly in Ketosis and began to lose carb and sugar cravings. Carbohydrates in the form of breads and pasta have been a life-long love affair and were probably the hardest to give up. Within ten days, the bloat and inflammation of the years of carb diets were disappearing. Energy and focus greatly increased, and enthusiasm for life was clearly surging upward. Being more positive, grateful, and energized became the standard for each day. Inches and pounds were shedding off and staying off. There isn’t enough to say about the recommendations and results of the diet. Bloodwork will be the next review to see if there is a significant difference between a before and after shift in diagnostic numbers.
Energizing Hydration for Keto Diets
Japanese Matcha Geen Tea – Organic
The early stages of transitioning to a Keto based diet include what is often known as the “Keto Flu.” This is a period of 2-3 days average of lethargy, headaches, and metabolism readjustment to begin to build new enzymes in the body to metabolize the change in diet. In addition to the recommended bone broth drinks, we also recommend a green tea to safely help with energy, lucidity, balance and to help shake off some of the more obvious results of the transition. One of the more organic and well researched teas is a Japanese green tea which is actually a powder. We use the green tea powder sourced organically from Boku International.
