Wearing essential oils on your body is soothing and comforting, but can also be concerning depending on the purity and density of oils. By making use of a lava bead bracelet, the scent and aroma of pure oils can be worn daily without a worry about direct skin absorption.
The Mala Bracelet has a rich history in meditation, spirituality, and also as personal jewelry. Lava rocks as mala beads make for a perfect combination of providing oil aromatherapy no matter where you are throughout your busy day. From yoga mat to board room, use your bracelet to center yourself and remind you of your practice.
Lava Beads for Essential Oils
Acting almost like an aromatherapy diffuser, lava beads are porous and allow a slow release of your favorite oils aromas. We enjoy the ability to combines different oils to create a unique daily blend. Add a different drop to each of several beads, or use the same oil to several beads for a more concentrated scent.
One of our favorite essential oil combinations for lava beads is Bergamot, Lavender, and Cedarwood. Apply a drop of each to three different beads and let the oil soak into the mala beads. The scent is not permanent and lasts anywhere from 2 to 24 hours. Use this to your advantage and create a different combination each day.
See the example below for a bracelet with a stretchable, expanding thread to allow for multiple ways to wear the bracelet and one size fits all. We prefer the traditional 108 mala bead bracelet that loops around the wrist several times.

Add drops of your favorite essential oils to 2-5 of the beads and let them naturally absorb into the stone before wrapping the mala beads around your wrist in three loops. Depending on your activity level and ambient surroundings, you will get anywhere from 2-24 hours of aroma from the bracelet. It provides a grounding scent and is comfortable enough to wear everyday.
